embracing the unknown

Embracing the Unknown: 4 Powerful tips for Setting Goals Without Worrying About the HOW

Setting goals is a vital step towards personal/professional growth and achievement. However, many people get caught up in the details and potential obstacles, which can hinder progress and limit creativity. In this blog post, we will explore the power of setting goals without worrying about “HOW” it will ever happen. We will delve into the benefits of embracing the unknown, fostering creativity, and being open to innovative approaches when pursuing our goals.

1)The Limitations of Overthinking:

Excessive focus on “HOW” your goal(s) will come together can lead to limited thinking and hinder the exploration of unconventional approaches. A better approach would be to embrace the journey to your goal, it’s embracing all the new ideas that are coming, embracing the learning phase to make your dream a reality.

2)Overcoming the Fear of Failure:

Fear of failure often holds us back from taking risks and pursuing ambitious goals. A better approach would be to learn new strategies that will help you to step out of your comfort zone and appreciating that the journey will be a rewarding learning experience.

3)Cultivating Creativity:

Creativity thrives when we are not bound by rigid plans and preconceived notions. Techniques such as brainstorming, mind mapping, and lateral thinking can empower you to think outside the box and explore new approaches. Creativity is a major driving force to success.

4)Breaking Free from Analysis Paralysis:

Detailed planning can sometimes lead to analysis paralysis, where we become overwhelmed by the multitude of possibilities. We can instead focus on taking small, actionable steps. You want to make sure that you are passionate about your desires/goals, attaching emotion will surely help you break free from analysis paralysis and help you move forward with confidence.

In conclusion, setting goals without worrying about the “How” can liberate us from self- imposed limitations and ignite our creativity. By embracing the unknown, we can take bolder steps, overcome fear, and achieve personal growth and success. We all face the unknown each and every day, no one can predict the future. Embrace this approach towards your own goals in life, the unknown should be exciting and invigorating rather than worrying about all the little details we have no control of.

personal goals for 2023

Personal Goals for 2023: Are You on Track?

We are now halfway through the year, and it’s the perfect time to reflect on your personal goals for 2023 to ensure you’re heading in the right direction. If you haven’t already written them down, you’re not alone—over 90% of the population doesn’t write their goals down. However, it’s a proven fact that those who do have 10X more chances of achieving them. In this blog post, let’s explore a 3-step approach to help you align with your Personal Goals 2023.

Step 1: Identify What You Truly Desire in Life It’s essential to acknowledge that it’s okay to want more for yourself in all aspects of life. Consider the following areas for your personal goals for 2023:

Health and Wellness

Career and Professional Development

Relationships and Personal Growth

Financial Stability and Security

Education and Intellectual Growth

Creativity and Self-Expression

Travel and Adventure

Personal Organization and Time Management

Emotional Well-being and Self-Care

Giving Back and Volunteering

If you haven’t already done so this year, take a moment to sit down with a pen and paper or your laptop. Start writing as many things as you can about what you truly want out of life.

Step 2: Assess and Categorize your Personal Goals.  Once you have your list, go through each item, and evaluate how you feel about it. Categorize them into the following groups:

“A” for Attainable: These are the goals that you know are easily reachable because you’ve achieved similar things in the past.

“B” for Basic: These goals require a stretch from your current reality, but with some adjustments, they can be within reach.

“C” for Contradictory: These are what I call “when pigs fly” goals in my Best-Selling book, “Rise Above: Create the Abundant Life You Desire.” They are far-fetched and seem unimaginable.

Step 3: Focus on Your “When Pigs Fly” Goals Concentrate on the goals marked with a “C.” These goals should stretch and inspire you to dream bigger than ever before. However, they should also be something you’re genuinely passionate about, something that excites you.

Once you’re certain about your big “When Pigs Fly” goal, write it down in the present tense as if you already have it. Begin with the phrase, “I am so happy and grateful now that…” and continue with your statement.

Here are a few examples:

If you want to travel the world: “I am so happy and grateful now that I am traveling the world, exploring new cultures and creating lasting memories.”

If you desire to take a year off to travel: “I am so happy and grateful now that I am embarking on a year-long journey around the globe, immersing myself in new experiences and expanding my horizons.”

If your goal is to earn a six-figure income while traveling: “I am so happy and grateful now that I am traveling the world for a year while also earning a six-figure income doing what I love.”

Conclusion: While we would like to achieve our personal goals in the current year, the timeline for their fulfillment may vary. Plant the seed of your goals in your subconscious mind and allow them to flourish naturally. Instead of focusing on the “how,” maintain your passion for your Personal Goals for 2023, visualize them as already accomplished, and keep them at the forefront of your mind every day. Live, feel, and breathe them.

Remember to carry your goal card in your wallet or purse and read it at least once per day. Get excited because great things are coming your way. Embrace the journey!
